Fourways Foods
an Amble Development Trust initiative
Fourways Foods is a social enterprise operated by Amble Development Trust. It is an established producer under the Coquet Valley Preserves and Pride of Northumbria labels and is also a distributor of local food products, serving the North East region with its own vehicles and nationally by courier.
The company has strong distribution links with Borderfields, Cakeroot, Proof of the Pudding, Northumberland Poultry and many other Northumberland based producers. We are able to provide temperature controlled and ambient services dedicated to meet individual requirements.
For more information on our distribution areas and production facilities please contact Julia Aston:

| Derelict Co-op department store |
Revitalised shop units |
In 2007 Amble Development Trust purchased the old Co-op Department store building in Queen Street after several years of it lying vacant. £350,000 to buy the building came from One NorthEast and NSP, additional funding was secured through Northumberland County Council and English Heritage to complete work to the shop front, and internal work was funded by a grant through RDPE (Rural Development Programme for England).
The building was divided into three units. The Development Trust retained one, to rehouse social enterprise Fourways Foods. Customers to the Pride of Northumbria store on Queen Street can now watch jams and preserves being made, as well as purchasing delicious local produce, whilst browsing crafts made by local artists.
