This year's festival will see the return of THE VIKINGS to our Northumberland shores! A Living History Village will be sited along the beach, so that people can see what life was like during the Dark Ages! There will be real depictions of Viking battles as well as storytelling of Viking days and the chance to make Viking artefacts and even wear chainmail. Young people will also be able to take part in designing their own Viking Shields and “fighting” the Vikings in a battle to the death! There will also be archery displays and the Viking re-enactors are more than happy to talk to visitors.

Alongside the Viking Village we will also hold a Northumbrian Crafts and Food Marquee and local chefs will hold cookery demonstrations with the aid of the Regional Food Group, Northumbria Larder's, kitchen trailer.

The Festival will also host local bands including “The Poor Boys”, and acoustic sessions to provide a fun easy going atmosphere. The Sea Cadets will make an appearance once again and the North Tyneside Steel Band will be coming along on Sunday to add a bit of spice to the weekend!

Amble's traditional trawler race will take place on the Saturday, the only one in the northeast – come along and support the fishing fleet of Amble!
