Amble Development Trust Projects

Amble Development Trust place high emphasis on asset generation and see our physical regeneration projects as a great opportunity to further this end. Building our asset portfolio to increase the sustainability and long term viability of the Trust.

The last 6 years have seen the Trust undertake a number of significant physical regeneration projects in the town which have had a considerable impact across the whole landscape of Amble.

The most recent project to be completed is the new Fourways 2 building on the site of the former Norseman building. The site was aquired in March 2003, the Trust drew up plans to develop The Norseman site to provide Fourways 2 and an expanded range of communtity services.

Planning permission was finally obtained in April 2005 and major funding applications are currently being considered (correct as of October 2005). The redevelopment was completed in January 2008 with the Trust moving in to part of the building, with other areas offering meeting and conferencing facilities and premises for other organisations.
